At age six, Jeff begins piano lessons and listens to movie soundtracks in his suburban bedroom.

While still in high school, Walton plays in The Judy's, a regionally successful new wave band with an extensive cult following that still exists today, The group releases two successful albums in the early to mid 80s - Washarama and Moo.

1986, Walton leaves the group to pursue film scoring and studies music at the University of Houston.

In 1992, producer/director Fred Olen Ray gives Walton his first break - a low-budget film, Fatal Justice, and more movie work follows.

From 1992-2004 , Walton scores over twenty feature films, along with numerous spots, television IDs, corporate films, and documentaries.

Walton's score for “The Face of the Serpent” wins top honor at the 2004 Park City Film Music Festival and is nominated for best musical score at the 2003 California Independent Film Festival.
